Sher-Gil Sundaram Arts Foundation & Asia Art Archive - SSAF-AAA Research Grant 2020 | grants
This grant, which marks the third year of collaboration between SSAF and AAA in India, emerges from AAA’s ongoing engagement with histories of art writing, and its initiatives to map, compile, translate, and republish texts from various contexts. This grant is in line with SSAF’s commitment to work with cross-disciplinary initiatives addressing the oppressed and the marginalised, and alternative and heterodox practices in the arts and in intellectual work.

Serendipity Arts Foundation - Serendipity Arles Grant 2020 | grants
Serendipity Arts Foundation in collaboration with Rencontres d’Arles announces Serendipity Arles Grant 2020 supported by the French Institute in India. The Grant of INR 12,00,000 (approximately EUR 15,000)* supports lens-based practitioners from the South Asian region. Ten shortlisted candidates will be showcased at the forthcoming edition of Serendipity Arts Festival. The finalist will have the opportunity to exhibit at Rencontres d’Arles, France in 2022.

UNESCO is accepting applications for the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) from 16 March to 16 June 2020. The IFCD finances initiatives that stimulate the Cultural and Creative Industries in developing countries. The Fund is known among cultural professionals around the world as a champion in the funding of innovative and dynamic projects. Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art - Public Art Grant 2019 | grants
The FICA Public Art Grant is aimed at supporting art projects located in the public realm in India. Through the grant, FICA aims to generate interest in public art projects, and initiate an open debate among artists, local communities and the larger public to engage with shared environments in new ways. The winning proposal will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges. The recipient of the grant will receive a maximum of Rs. 3 lakhs for the project detailed in their application. The period of the grant is one year (1 January to 31 December 2020). Upon completion of the project the artist will be required to submit a project report along with complete documentation, and make a final presentation at a public forum.

Artist Residency in Leh, Ladakh | residencies
Far Side Collective is inviting 4 artists/designers and 1 curator or art researcher (each session) to join them for 30 day residency in July or September 2019, living and working from their modest studio/house in Leh. All artists can give preferences for Session 1 (July) or Session 2 (September). The residency will closely look at the 'border'. The imaginary line of separation, not only in terms of political discourses but also in terms of people - 'the local' and 'the outsider'. These complex 'borders' will be investigated over the month, maybe not to understand rather to acknowledge and celebrate. They are looking for passionate people who can draw, film, shoot, write and create art works around the curatorial note/preliminary idea discussed above.

Odyssée Art Residencies | open call
With the support of the French Ministry of culture, the ACCR has been coordinating the Odyssée artist-in- residency program. The program is aiming at artists, researchers and culture professionals from countries other than France wanting to develop projects within French Heritage Sites for Culture. More than 600 artists from over 78 different countries have taken part in the program, developing projects in different areas such as music, architecture, arts and crafts, visual arts, dramatic writing, novel writing, scriptwriting, animated film-making, photography and journalism.

The Prince Claus Fund’s Mobility Fund supports the cross-cultural exchange of artists and cultural practitioners. By covering travel costs, such as economy class plane or train tickets, the Mobility Fund assists in the professional growth and networking abilities of those it supports. The Mobility Fund is open throughout the year to receive applications. It is specifically intended for artists and cultural practitioners living in, residing in and travelling from countries listed on the DAC list (India is one of the countries). Cultural professionals who are in possession of any passports from a country which is not on the DAC list are not eligible.
