OVERVIEW

Asia is acknowledged as one of the fastest growing economies and it is characterised by a rich cultural heritage. This represents a huge opportunity for the development of the social, economic and human capital. The International Program in Arts Management (IPAM) is a program designed for practitioners and students from all over the world with a specific interest in the Asian art and cultural environment but open to international best practices.

To understand the relevance and scope of the SDA Bocconi Asia Center’s International Programme in Arts Management in India.

APPROACH SUGGESTED

A study to examine the needs, gaps and barriers to access an arts management program was conducted across multiple cities in India by the Art X Company. 

OUTCOME

A white paper was produced by the Art X Company which looked at formal education and skilling challenges in the cultural sector from the perspective of working professionals and arts management aspirants. 

A series of sessions exploring the various aspects of careers in arts were organised in Delhi and Mumbai.
